Yep, it doesn't work. But you can download a version compiled with emx from:

ftp://gnjilux.cc.fer.hr/pub/os2/msged/msged41e.zip

It compiles right out from the box, and it works with
fastecho.cfg. Actually i'm using it right now to write you this
message in Hudson style area defined in fastecho.cfg.

You will also need emx runtime available from allmost anywhere. Look
for emxrt.zip, i.e. on Hobbes in unix/emx09c/
