I overheard you talking to Julia about pressure embossing and a light
box.  Some others have suggested using an inexpensive picture frame
supported on both sides and putting a small light or flashlight
underneath.  The las time I was at Michael's, they were selling for $14.
Watch for a 40% off coupon and treat yourself sometime when you are
feeling that you deserve a treat.  I almost got one the last time I was
there but I chose a stamp instead.
For my pressure embossing, I generally hold the card and the stencil
against a pane on my French doors or against the window on my front
door.  I can't work that way for very long but it usually does the
trick.
