* EleBBS Support List Thanks Mike, By locally, I mean a local connection to ele from the command line. If I telnet into the local box via 127.0.0.1 (or any of it's IPs), I get the lag before logon which should count the router and switch out of the equation. Ele is not configured to detect ansi, so that isn't it either. It should just assume ansi, I'd guess. Let me know if there's anything else you think I should look at. Oh, and logo.asc doesn't show either. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Ehlert [mailto:mike{at}pcmicro.com] Sent: Thursday, May 25, 2006 3:50 PM To: elebbs{at}thebbs.org Subject: Re: EleBBS: linux and win32 lag I've got... * EleBBS Support List Hi Marty, > Anyway, on connection, it takes about 20 seconds before the BBS > answers. The result should be the same if you use localhost or the actual ip if you are on the same box. When we discussed this previously, it seemed to be caused by your router. Is that correct? > For some reason, logo.ans isn't showing either. Does logo.asc display instead? Is elconfig configured for ansi/rip detect? I susepect the long pause causes ansi detection to fail, so logo.asc should display in that case.
