subject: Re: Transporting Budgie to Vets Office during Winter

I take my birds in to the vet all year long. In the winter, I warm the car
up before taking the carrier out. I cover the carrier with a towel, to keep
the abrupt cold air from my babies. Once in the car, I uncover the access
door, so that any chilled air can escape and warm air can get in. Also, I
keep the carry cages on the car seat, NOT the floor. I wouldn't want direct
hot air blowing on them -- I think it would be overload.

In the summer, I run the A/C before taking any of the birds out... No need
to bake their little brains (or mine)
