Green? You mean the emulsion looks green?

What is the picture quality of the "new" Plus-X comapred with the
new version?

I have been told that even though Kodak recommends new developing times for
the newer emulsions, that many photographers prefer to use the old times.

Carl

Funny story today. The class was processing their first rolls of film. A
young couple put a roll apiece in the two roll tank and went through the
developing routine. They were shocked to discover that both rolls came out
blank! I showed them that since the edge numbers were developed normally
that there must have been a problem at the camera stage. Did they use the
same camera? No, each had his/her own. The woman had a fresh roll in her
camera with about half the shots left. I asked her to click off a shot,
then advance the film. She did. The rewind crank did not move.

I asked her to open the back of the camera, and noted that the film had not
gone through. Her boy friend was amazed, as was she. Showing us how she
loaded the film into the camera, we saw that the film could not have gone
thorough. Not this roll, not the roll she processed. I asked her boyfriend
if he had loaded his film in the same way. He answered, "Gee, no -- she
loaded it for me!" :)

Another mystery solved!
