Against the type of earthquakes that happen in Groningen as a result of
harvesting natural gas: very well, I'd say. The earthquakes in Groningen cause
substantial damage to ordinary house that were never designed to resist
anything more than a truck passing nearby. Substantial damage as in cracks in
te walls and broken glass. No house has actually collapsed as of yet.

The hull of the reactor in Borssele was designed to survive the impact of a
direct hit by a large aircraft.

But... you have a point in that we do not know what we have overlooked...
