subject: nice to be back

Hi Gladys,

Every time I see your name I smile... your name is the same as my oldest
sister's and I have not been able to see here in more than 15 years... I do
miss her so.

-> nice to hear from you It has been som,e time since Ihaave been on and hope
to
-> beback and hear from a lot of you
-> Well with the RS I really can't say I am very good yet I do know I have a
lot
-> of scrap paper and a lot of what I call misfits I have done I was told not
th
-> throw any away as I can cut out and use a lot of the stamping that didn't
come
-> out to good

Ah, but think of the fun you are having as you learn... I still don't
consider
myself all that good when it comes to RS'ing but I have a lot of fun along
the way and IMHO that is what any crafty things is really all about!
I have finally come to a point where I don't feel to guilty about
throwing
some of the smaller scraps of paper away... but it still is quite difficult
for me at times.... but I have soooo much here that I have to make some
decissions on what to keep and what not to keeps... I still keep all the
"opps!" that I make... and definitly look back to them so that If I want to
do a similar design or composition... I will definitly know what "not" to
do!
Only on occassion will I cut one to reuse in another composition... but I
will from time to time use sticker paper to cover errors so I can use an
"opps!" card and the error will not show through that way!

-> I do have a problem with keeping my stamps availabe by my side when I sit
down
-> in the evening Usually I arrange them after I am through for the evening

Keeping RS's in some kind of order or being able to get to them with ease
is a never ending problem no matter how organized we are .
Even with the marvelous drawers I now have for my RS's I still have
trouble keeping them together. I will pull out stamps in the morning that
I believe I will use and of course get more through out the day... and I
will clean them all and put them away at the end of the day. This is a
habit that I developed early on. Also it does help to have a way to lay
out my stamps so I can see what is where at any time I go looking for them.
However I am fast running out of room to store all my stamps even with the
new drawers that I had made.

-> The lady that teaches us about RS has not done Perganano but is going to
learn and then we will try it I don't know if my mind can take much more ha
ha

hehehe! I am having sooooo much fun with the Pergamano... Once I learned
how to say Pergamano the rest was easy! I got on the Pergamano Listserv on
the internet this week and have already learned something very new and
interesting... but then that is what our conferences are all about...
learning
and sharing with each other. I am sure that your teacher will come back to
you very excited about Pergamano! And it works so well with RS'ing... I
have been using any number of my RS's to make patterns for Pergamano
compositions.

-> We een busy getting our garden and all ready for winter as we do have some
real
-> bad days here I really don't like to think about it but guess it will come
-> regardless

This just reminds me that I too have to get outdoors and do the same
things.
We have had so much rain here the last week or so that it has been
impossible
to get out to the garden... We are also still in the remodeling process
here
and things are tore up all over the place... there is soooooo much to be
taken out to the trash and more scrap wood to be cut up for the fire place
than I care to think about... and believe me I have been going through all
this scrap in search of wood I can use for RS mounts or other crafty
projects
So much of it though cannot be used for my crafting projects... it is
just
to rough or unuseable..

-> I have to get busy makeing my xmas ornaments as I hope to join the
ornaments
-> exchange
-> I think my frien Bettie signed me up I hope so anyway
-> I am going to make the little critters that the kids like so well this
year I
-> went and got the material for them the other day
-> I also am going to make small pillows for the little ones so looks like I
will be busy when i can't get outside
-> I sure wish I could see some of the cards you make but your a little to
far for me to run in and say HI

It is unlikely that I will get into the ornament exchange this year. With
just getting settled in here I am thinking that I need to take a break this
year from the ornament exchange... I have been in it for 3 or 4 years now
and think it is time for me to take a bit of a break if only to catch my
breath a bit.
Well I am trying to catch up on some of the mail... I am using
Neverending
BBS now.. seems as though I will be losing my feed permenantly over a
boarder
dispute in Fidonet... so I will be using this avenue to stay in touch. I am
just so grateful that this bbs has all my favorite echos... I would be lost
without Fido and my friends here.
