no, I said stricmp (with the i in the middle) which is different
from strcmpi.
I've never seen a library without stricmp. I have seen libraries
without strcmpi. Of course, my seeing soemthing doesn't make it
standard, so it's possible you're right. I just saw that you were
talking about a different function.
