We get Germans who try to canoe the Coppermine, Burnside and Thelon
Rivers all the way from their source to the Arctic Ocean or Hudson's
Bay.... alone. The Japanese take guided tours to scenic areas in buses
within 80 km of Yellowknife and 500 meters from the highway, come back
to the city and go shopping for Innuit carvings.
