I realize that media center isn't required for it ( I have the Kiss =
DP-500 also - along with a brain-dead D-Link DSM-320). MS would like to =
see Media Center 2005 take inroads into being the house media server of =
choice. I don't blame them for trying but I'd rather not have that = effort
succeed. =20

The device you are describing is called a "server" it is not a =
"service" in that it has nothing to do with the content, it's
simply a = device like a VCR is a device. I understand what you are saying
about it = delivering content within the house but Media center is not
required for = that, a simple file server would suffice (that's all I use).
As for "quite easily" and Rich, I have been trying to understand why =
he can't lighten up but I've no idea. My guess is he's really a female =
and only visits us when he's on the rag.

Yet Media Center can deliver 'content' stored on a PC to various =

I think what he's getting at is that the content delivery service =
is (or will be) an added cost extra. Media Center is more like a cable =
ready TV it doesn't include cable service.
