Ok, I've got dos/dv on this box supporting bink/max/squish, and for the most part I'm not doing much of anything with the NIC that's in here. Once in a while, I load a packet driver and ftp to the linux box to transfer files back and forth, and that's about it. Usually when I do that I exit the bbs (shut down bink) and exit dv entirely, as I remember some odd behavior with regard to dv when I had the packet driver loaded. Perhaps this is because I never optimized the setup for the use of that program? Anyhow, what I have been thinking about was that it would be nice if there was some way to set up another bbs node that I could get into from other machines on the LAN here (a w98 box in additon to linux boxes). When I set up bink and max, I originally did the things you're supposed to do for multiline operation, though I've never gone beyond a single phone line -- there just hasn't been the demand to do so. Anybody in here have a clue as to how I'd set this up? ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
