The TMemo component has a boolean run-time property named "Modified".  One
would like to think that this property is initially false, and that it is
automatically set to true if someone edits the Memo.  This does not seem to
be the case.  In fact, even if your program sets it to true in the Memo's
OnChange handler, it seems to flip itself back to false again in an
unpredictable fashion.
Can anyone provide any insight into the behaviour of this TMemo.Modified
property ?  The on-line documentation (Delphi 1) is, as it is so often,
uninformative.
