MF> Umm... Aviation in New Zealand?
MF> Well... Civilian-wise its quite popular.. I work with two pilots,
MF>one RNZAF-selectee, and know a few more ;) Umm, what else is there
MF>to know??? I dont know how big civil aviation is in the U.S....
Of course it's very big here in the US and very expensive but I probably
don't have to tell you about that. I imagine yours is quite pricy also.
What kind of civilian trainers are they using there? Do you see any
warbirds flying around?
MF> Militarily, we fly the A-4K Skyhawk (original airframes with
MF>avionics up to F-16A+ standard), the Aermacchi somethingorotehr(
MF> cant remember offhand), the P-3K Orion (equiv to the C variant), the
MF> C-130 Herculese, and a coupla old Andovers...
MF> Oh, and a 727 for VIP work, and a squadron of UH-1 Iroquois float
MF> around the place :)
MF> And that about tops my limit ;) Unless I go even MORE military....
That's great and thanks for the information. See what you can dig up to
tell us about light plane flying there.
Good hearing from you....Jim....
