A large, saucer-shaped craft could arrive at a well-known landmark
such as the Elipse in Washington, D.C. (The landing site of the flying
saucer in the movie, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL). It could arrive,
and just sit there, hovering 20 feet above the ground for about a week,
then a few spindly-legged humanoids would emerge and float down to the
surface and say, "Greetings earthlings... We have come to rid you of
your doubters. ...And here is one of our ashtrays!"
