DH> Larry, there is hope, it is beginning to look as if the Conference
DH> will end without a treaty, and if one is signed, the Senate will
DH> refuse to ratify it! Perhaps this thing can be put off, until we get
DH> some real research on global warming.
Just ain't willing to bet on that, David. Hope it's stopped before it plays
havoc with our lives...
Truth is though, that we are being "led" by people whose greatest ambition
in life is to trash our status as a sovereign nation.
And they have as their system of checks a House and Senate full of folks
who have no spine at all.
DS> As for world population, he is
DS> right. There's about twice the population the world can handle.
LG>
LG> Being as the world's population has doubled since 1957, while the
LG> world's food production has quadrupled in the same time frame, we are
LG> nowhere near "twice the population the world can handle". We're not
LG> even at *once* the population the world can handle.
DH>
DH> Interesting, isn't it? wonder what percentage is produced by the US?
Yeah. A *very* interesting question, that. You will, of course, hear
endless complaint about America's use of the world's natural resources,
but very seldom will you be exposed to anyone singing the praises of the
world's largest food producer.
Direct to you from the keyboard of Larry Gault...
... Does "Gay '90's" have anything to do with clinton's army?
