about HELLO :
[SB] I guess you've had some experience with younguns' then. (g)
Well yes and no:) Bobby and I don't have any children however; I and My
Brothers are about 12 years diffrence in age so, I helped in raising them
with my Mom and I can remember some of thier teenage years they were quite
a handfull so, I have some idea on what you and the hubby are going through:)
[SB] I owuld love to get the recipe for the lasagna. And I would love to
[SB] share recipes. Of course, right now, I'm learning to cook low fat
[SB] meals, which can be a real challenge in Italian cooking, so most of
[SB] recipes will probably reflect that. (g) Learning some of the Italian
[SB] dishes has been a challenge. Polenta was an easy dish to learn,
[SB] however. Heck, I'd been eating that for *years*. I was raised on it. We
[SB] just didn't call it polenta. We called it corn-meal mush. (g)
Ok Here goes:
To make your Lasagna You do the Following:
2 Jars Of Italian Sauce Or Make It yourself which I am sure you have:)
2 Lbs Of Ground Beef (Hamberger)
2 Lbs Of Ground Sausage (Hot, Mild which ever you perfer)
2 Lbs Of Peperoni
2 Package Of Mozzarella Cheese
2 Container Of Cottage Cheese
2 Container Of Ricotta
3 Boxes Of your Brand Of Lasagna Pasta
2 Table spoons Of Olive Oil
Ok To begin this you will need a large pot to boil your water in. put your
pot on the stove with your water Cold then add your 2 table spoons of olive
oil. Bring your water to a boil once it is boiling start cooking your pasta
untill you get your pasta cooked.
Next Brown all your Ground beef and your ground Sausage. Drain any and all
that it might have then set it too cool until you are ready to use it.
Ok the next step is to pre heat your oven heat it at 350 degrees.
Now you are ready to start making your dish!
Take your baking or lasagna pan and pour a layer of your Italian sauce in
until you coat the whole bottom of your pan next take your pasta and layer
your pan length wise until you have one complete layer then pour a layer of
your Italian Sauce on your layer of pasta that you have laid into the pan.
next take your browned ground hamberger and lay on a layer of that then lay
another layer of your Lasagna. Do this procedure with each layer of your
lasagna and meat, Italian Sauce, and then with your cheeses. REMEMBER to
be sure you have enough of your Italian Sauce for the top of your dish.
then take a deep say 2 inches deep pan which you can put water into for your
pan of lasagna to sit into while it is baking. Take foil for the top of
Lasagna pan and make a tent type top and be sure it is sealed all around
your pan. Be sure while this is baking to keep your pan that you have your
water in stay full of water while baking this will keep your lasagna from
drying out while it is baking. Cook it for about an hour and a half and
your ready to serve this beautiful dish which is VERY BIG and FILLING!
Well there you are Hope that you get to make this and ENJOY!
[SB] And Mario has actually learned to like some of *my* favorite foods, like
[SB] cornbread crumbled into a bowl, and served with milk. And frybread.
[SB] Now, I really *do* have to figure out how to make lowfat frybread.
