 Most hifi shops should carry AKG headphones, but a good
place to look is at the "pro" audio outfitters (used to be called music
stores) as they will also have the low end microphones that they make,
too). Mail order might be better if you've decided on them definitely.
 They are excellent headphones, but they don't hold up to physical abuse
too well though. A little too fragile for the kinds of abuse most studio
headphones have to put up with, but if they will be YOUR personal
headsets, then go for it! For good beater headsets, I like the Rat Shack
Nova 10's. Able to take high levels, are the "cans" type for good
isolation and I like the Sennheiser "open aire" kind if clients insist
on them.
