Maybe there should be an option in synchronet where if you press the CTRL
while using the mouse it'll work like cut & paste rather than assuming the
point & click function? 

In SyncTerm I'd eventually like to see a block copy where you can copy a
square of text (the scroll lines on the right side of the page are a pain when
copying and pasting to an email), so you'd probably need to work with Deuce to
make sure key combos don't clash. Maybe one can use SHIFT+CTRL to select a
block or whatever.
