NZ is our sister country, and our good ally.  They fought alongside us in a
lot of wars.  They are even allowed to become part of Australia should they
choose to.

Australia has a right to choose our friends, and we have chosen NZ.  I
don't care what slopeheads think of that policy, they can stay in their own
country which they love so much and is so much better than Australia if
they don't like who we associate with.
