You can also use the UGUI C++ Package, it was written in 1994 by a
french man. This library is very complete and you can write a 'dos
like window' application. it is compatible with SVGA, XLIB, BGI,
FASTGRAF, etc.
I have attach the readme.txt file to this message to help you about
the possibilities of this package.
I've develloped some applications like electronics acquisition with
microcomputer with this package. The following is a short description
of the package written by the author itself in the readme.txt file.

DESCRIPTION ÚÙ
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ
Ultiman's GUI is a very powerful tool that allows you to
add a graphical user interface to your C++ DOS programs.
Indeed, Ultiman's G.U.I. is a C++ library, for the
Borland C++ 3.1 or 4.0. A lot of objects are available :
from a simple button to menus or windows, or combo boxes.
Its simplicity allows a beginner to use it, but its power
is only limited by your imagination ! You can even create
your own objects and use them with your programs.
Another advantage of Ultiman's GUI is that you don't have
to modify your programs to use UGUI's graphical functions,
because it uses external libraries for the low-level operations,
like lines, rectangles, etc. Ultiman's GUI can normally
use BGI, XLIB 6, Fastgraph 3, or SVGACC 2.3, but you can
use your own functions if you want...
Main characteristics :
- buttons, lines, rectangles, text, switches, scroll bars, lists,
input boxes, icons, combo boxes, windows, dialog boxes, menus...
- compatible with Borland C++ 3.1 or 4.0
- compatible with BGI, Fastgraph 3, XLIB 6, SVGACC 2.3
- more than 40 fonts, with a font editor (registered only)
- Windows .ICO icons, .PCX pictures
- XMS memory handled
- very detailed documentation (in french, but I think I will
translated it for the next release)
- very easy to use
INSTALLATION
To install UGUI, simply type 'INSTALL'...

them.
