Steve was heard muttering to Paul Nixon
 about Terror
SG> it so that the wormhole opened many times - later interpretted as a
SG> possible fleet of cloaked ships. They caused some small damage, and a
SG> certain opportunistic Admiral decided to capitalize on the situation
SG> as well. He decided that Earth wasn't tough enough, so he'd use the
SG> danger to get his people into positions of authority and to get his
SG> "police state" rules accepted - a peaceful military coup, if you will.
Ah. Well, it's gotta be fiction: the people of earth would never fall
 for such as that .
SG> Here's the biggest point: so far, we've had almost the least amount of
SG> terrorism in the free world. Those places with more terrorism have
SG> imposed tough laws, but they have still had more terrorism than us.
SG> Just look at Ireland or the West Bank. Obviously the laws aren't
SG> addressing the root cause, and so are ineffective.
SG> Our laws have so far been better, though sometimes I wonder if it'll
SG> last long. Of course, the clincher is that people will take it as just
SG> more government tyranny (whether or not that is the intent). They may
SG> catch more terrorists, but there will also be more to catch!
 Self-fulfilling prophecy.
Heard on talk radio, Monday during the 1500 hour of the Bob Mohan show,
 Phoenix KFYI:
Mohan was saying that he has a friend who knows the captain of the
airliner that was just a couple of minutes behind Flt 800. Said a/l
captain states that he witnessed what he believes to be a trail of a
missle that hit the TWA flight.
Mohan went on to say that the flight path of TWA800 was within 1 mile
of an MOA, the exact nature of the MOA I didn't catch, but has to do
 with coastal defense. I.e. missiles.
Now there have been several eyewitness reports from people on the
ground who state that they say a "smoke trail" of some sort. The only
thing I've heard about the missile possibility is that FAA has looked
at the tapes of the radar coverage of TWA800 and states that there
isn't any indication of a missile. Further, "experts" have stated that
it's unlikely a "shoulder fired missile" would have had the range to
 bring down the jetliner.
Now, here's the speculation on the part of Mohan: if this airliner was
within a mile of some coastal defense zone (I don't have the
appropriate sectional, but understand it to contain information that
flight within the MOA is "hazardous") it would have been within range
of medium- or perhaps long-range missiles. Under control by our own
 military.
What if something or somebody screwed up? Is this possible?
Conceivable? And if it happened would we ever know?
And isn't it convenient for the administration that these incidents
have happened just after Clinton was partly defeated on his "terror
bill," and he's now back wanting the same elements that were tossed out
of the bill the last time around.
 OKC, TWA800, Atlanta...man, I dunno.
