Thanks Wayne. The second and third photos were shot from the top of the
trail, then the rest down below were I had to stand in a small area --
maybe five feet square due to the mud. I thought the boy's fish in the
first photo looked dead already (the fish in front of him is an
"naturally dead" salmon), but he had just caught it (I have the
sequence),
but had to drag it though mud to land it. His fish was still quite alive
and was soon set free. The boy's dad, standing nearby told me they had
caught enough for the season on earlier days, but were just out fishing to
be able to do something together. On a sadder note, the boy's mother wrote
to me for a copy of the photo and told me that the dad is fighting cancer
and is trying to do as much as possible with his son.
