Hello mark,

BF>>>> Oh, BTW, with such a low salary, you would be eligible for social
 BF>>>> welfare here in Sweden...

GD>>> Not to many people I know are making $20.00 an hour like I am. Making
GD>>> $640.00 each and every week, That is $33,280.00 a year. I am not
 GD>>> complaining.

DD>> What do you do to earn this rate?

ml> better yet, does he know he's being ripped off? $20/hr is $800/wk on a 40
ml> hour week... guessing that in a year, there's 14 days that he doesn't have
ml> to work so that guves us 50 weeks in the year... $800/wk time 50 weeks is
ml> $40000... he's either getting ripped off and doesn't know it or he's not
ml> even working 40 hours a week plus any overtime and he thinks he's doing
 ml> good...

Talk about getting ripped off. Let's compare what most Americans
make with what folks in Munich, Germany make. Iam using Munich,
Germany as an example because Greg has mentioned his German heritage,
along with a desire to visit Germany some day.

The average person in Munich, Germany makes $3,180 per month, with
1,721 hours per year, with 32 days of paid vacation per year.

That translates to $733.84 per week, 33 hours per week, every week,
including 32 days of paid vacation per year. Not sure how much sick
leave they get, or paid maternity/paternity leave.

That comes out to being $22.23 per hour.

Germans come out ahead mainly due to government benefits rather
than hourly wage. Along with vacation time is much better. And
I would guess also paid maternity/paternity leave.
