To be unbiased and fair I guess the NZ deal should be wiped.  NZers should
fulfill the same criteria as other potential immigrants.

It is changing slowly.  When I came here in 1980, I didn't even need a
passport, just hopped on a plane and here I was.  In 1988, when I wanted to
go back for a holiday, I had to present a passport to get out of this
country (and to return).  Luckily the NZ Consulate in Brissy could issue
one.

Maybe visas will be required soon...
