Wyatt, here's my fundamental phillisophical problem.
I you, as a rational person, can reasonably forsee that IF you perform a
certain act, that certain consequences will follow, and you choose to
perform that act and those consequences do indeed follow, are you not
morally responsible for those consequences?
If I reasonably believe that voting for Harry Browne will help to
re-elect the WORST anti-gun president in US history, and I vote for
Harry Browne anyway, and Clinton does in fact get re-elected, am I not
then as morally culpable as if I cast my vote directly for Clinton?
I certainly wish it were as simple as you seem to think it is.
Come November 5th, I will vote my conscience, as I'm sure you will also.
