The Clintons tried to take us over to metric on the highways during one of their terms. The administration in this state was pretty friendly with them, and spent a lot of money re-signing one of the expressways so that the signs were in both miles and km. Needless to say, they wasted money on that one. I've not seen many other highways done like that.
