JC>I remember the thing that

Did you ever forget and leave the handle sticking out? The
first time I did this it almost took my right knee off when
 the F/O trimmed the airplane!
JC> I'm also trying to remember the Production Test Pilot

JC> was Dave Weibach (sounds like). I understand that he moved up to

I did a couple of DC-9 Acceptance tests with Dave in around
'68. Nice guy, like most of their pilots. I imagine he is
retired, though I don't think MD held them to the age 60
rule that shot you and I down. Air Canada stuck to that,
although in Canada you can still hold an ATP over that age,
and if you did drop to a lower licence you still held all
your endorsements. I finally had a private with a B-747
endorsement, but I could never find one for rent!
We're planning on spending most of the summer here, although
I go up home at least once a month to pay the bills and
check on everything.
