You can right-click an icon and choose Save As. When I do that (on a couple of different machines with Outlook 2000), I get "Could not save attachment". Actually, I just tried another strategy that worked. I'm confused now because I believe I have tried this before and it did not work. Anyway what worked (apart from just opening the email) was: Click on the email in the list of mail (above the Chilton Preview pane). On the File menu, select Save Attachments.
