I use analog phons and have done so since I started telephoning. The bare wires
into the NTBA naturally give no dial tone, since they do not carry a phone
signal accessiblke without a TK-Anlage (in the case of ISDN). What you sggest
would be like hooking up an analog phone to a 220>V power line somewhere.
