I'm posting this for someone else, so replies should be made direct to
him as below.
He's looking for an external modem for a Mac (I think it's called a
Classic 2/40).
He needs at least 9600bps, preferably 14.4Kbps, and as he may also want
to use it on an IBM-compatible PC, he would prefer one that will suit
both hardware platforms with only a change of cabling - I understand this
is possible.
His budget is around $100 to $150.
