I am of the other hand.  The Komet, although a break through, because
of it's limited flying time/range could not have stemmed the tide.  If
I had to look at a particular device that could have really made a huge
influence on the out come, it would be either the snorkel for subs, jet
engines, or atomic power.  Provided that 1 or more of the 3 were able
to be introduced in quantity to make a influence, obviously number 3
wouldn't have to be produced in to many numbers to get attention!
