I disagree. It's my personal belief that if you are too stupid to be able
to zip/unzip then you are too dangerous to be allowed to have executable
attachments. We've suffered enough from the clickhappy and I'm glad MS put
an end to that in Outlook, if only they had done it with OE so it couldn't
be turned off..

What's happening with OE is the clickhappy call tech support and the damn
techs (I slap them whenever I find out) explain how to turn the feature off
for people who are too computer illiterate to even read the frellin message
that tells them where to look. These people are a danger to us all. They
are the ones providing millions of bots for the spammers, they are the ones
spreading email virus, and they are the ones who then expect ISP tech
support to walk them thru cleaning this crap off their broken computers so
they can receive and click on the next joke.exe they get.

Sorry Robert I believe this so strongly that I block the following file
type attachments

bat
chm
cmd
com
cpl
exe
hta
pif
scr
vbs

from all filtered domains on the ISP mail servers. You want to pass a file
of one of these types thru email, learn to use winzip. The day I turned on
these attachment blocks, our infection rate dropped by over 50%. (I did it
before Microsoft added it). We do however offer unfiltered email, but its
not popular.

Geo.
