Some greedy companies will nickle and dime their customers to death. I remember in the early PC days one who took this axiom to the n'th degree ie Radio Shack would sell you a 6ft printer cable for $60. The best business in the world however is one where customers send you money on a regular basis. For example the telephone company, electric company, cable, etc. One local alarm company has this completely figured out. They will actually give you their equipment with installation absolutely free then charge you $24.95 monthly for the monitoring service. Hey works for them! Many cell phone companies have figured it out too and will also give you a free phone with sign up. Now to get my ISP to give me a free PC! Mike **** ... I worked hard to attach the electrodes to it. --- Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Juxtaposition BBS, Telnet:juxtaposition.dynip.com (1:167/133) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 167/133 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
