I started looking at Agent - I like its style for newsgroups, and the mail
stuff looked good. I'm not sure about rendering html. I ended up staying
with Outlook 2000 while using Chilton Preview to actually read email text.
It is claimed that that combination is pretty safe.

Anyway, I await suggestions with interest.
