The subject "Re" is added during saving because the user can change the subject in the editor.  If the Re was added before the editor then the user would be able to remove it.  That is the thinking around why I did it that way.

For the other stuff an early guess might be that its not adding Re if there is a space at the start of the subject line or something similar to that. If you can find a way to reproduce it let me know and I will get it fixed up...

I'll give it a shot on my own as well if I get some more free time and don't forget (I've had almost no time the past handful of weeks for BBS stuff).
