Hello All!
I've just crashed the release version of EchoFix v2.00 for DOS off to Gary's
BBS a few seconds ago. Here's what it'll now do :
þ Compare areas in SQUISH.CFG and
MSGAREA.CTL, and create any missing
areas, optionally using descriptions
from SQAFIX.CFG.
þ Compare the PATH for areas in
SQUISH.CFG and MSGAREA.CTL, and
replace non-matching paths in
MSGAREA.CTL - will also report on
certain errors in an echoarea
definition.
þ Take the descriptions out of
SQAFIX.CFG and place them in
MSGAREA.CTL, replacing the current
descriptions.
þ Create an entire MSGAREA.CTL file
from scratch if you wish it to.
Also, the command-line handling routine has been vastly improved over v1.00,
and several sections have been bugfixed and optimized for greater speed.
If you have any problems with EchoFix, please crashmail me the problem files
with an explanation of the problem. If I can reproduce the error, I'll
hopefully have a fix out overnight. If I can't reproduce the error I'll find
someone locally who can and get a fix for you. However, collecting the fix
will be at your own expense should it be prior to a new release version.
F'reqable here as ECHOFIX or ECF200.ZIP
Dave
