I tend to do that. Unless there's a real need for text speed as in
animated-text, I also utilize bios/dos functions for most screen
writes. It greatly simplifies the code.

Geeze Scott, how many EGA monitors would you like. I have a mess of them.
They are pretty good for text and windows if you don't do anything too
graphicy....
