 MB> does max/2 3.01 properly handle drives above 2 gigs?  
 MB> ie. a 4 gig or 9 gig drive as on partition?
I used to run big hard disk drive partitions and was getting 
error every so often
I split the hard disk up into 3 partitions 
first partition 125 megs, OS/2 and Binkley and max.ctl files
second partition 1 gig Maximus, inbound fileareas and the message areas
third partition 3 gigs, the OS/2 swapfile and the files areas
I have had no problems any more, the system has been running
about 1 year now with no major problems.
Bigger is not always better, it creates problem.
