President Trump's tariffs on imported steel aren't the first time the
industry has gotten protection from the U.S. Government.
Iron forges, the forerunners of the modern steel industry, tariffs in force
then to and are nothing new, foreign competition has tried to infiltrate the
industry even back then with foreign made horseshoes, nails and rifle barrels.
