Hi MIKE (of 1:167/133), On , you wrote me: MR> I held an internal Sportster Model 460 today. It is a 33.6K MR> fax/modem. Was this the model number you were after? Nope. Mine is a model 266. Anyway... the update on the situation: I managed to place it into another PC afterall, and I had to let Window's "check for available modems". It walked through all the com ports (and even ADDED com2 and com3 during that time!), and it reported a 14.4k fax modem. The diag tests which step through a pile of AT commands revealed "14.4" in one of the reports. SO.. the model 266 is a 14.4 afterall. MR> BTW, I have a Supra 56Ki flex whatever. I see there is a driver in MR> 98se. Does it need anything else besides to work? I haven't tried it MR> yet. Was that an offer to ship the 56Ki to me?!!! I decided to pull an old 28.8k Sportster (which happend to be upgraded to 33.6 speed) from an old computer that I decided didn't need dial-out capability. ...August --- FMail/Win32 1.60* Origin: .
