Subject: EleBBS: External Protocols (LFN Support)
Hi!
I'm having problems to install external protocols that accept LFN (Long File
Names) with EleBBS... If someone could help me, I'll be thankful! Here go my
Story...
So, I've found SEXYZ (Synchronet External XYZ protocols).
At sexyz's manual, there was a section describing how to install the
protocol
For EleBBS systems. I've followed the steps, and it works fine! The
performance
Is better than FDSZ!! LFN was downloaded perfectly, but here goes the bad
part:
The BBS doesn't compute the downloads for LFN.
I've read the options for sexyz writing DSZ style logs. There are really
lots
Of combinations and I've testes all of them. Unfortunately, none of them
works.
Sexyz permits configuring this options:
* Quoted Filenames (e.g.: "Long File Name.txt").
* Windows Short Filenames (e.g.: LONG_F~1.TXT).
* Full Path (e.g.: C:\BBS\Long File Name.txt).
When I try any combination that uses Windows Short Filenames, the system
Freezes (stalls). I think EleBBS doesn't like the ~ character very much...
(?)
All other combinations results in "No files sent" message.
Short file names works well with all combinations!
Does anyone faces this problem? Is there a solution?
EleBBS is still under development?
Is there a possibility for a version fixing this problem, if it isn't just a
Configuration problem?
[]'s,
Ioram+/W32
