Well here are a couple of little baby tricks.
When using a workstation's printer is a network printer.
This is what I use to make it available without logging in.
copy nprinter.* to LOGIN dir
Autoexec.bat
:RETRY
NPRINTER (printserver) -p
REM if workstation was rebooted...reinitialize until available
if errorlevel 1 goto RETRY
Also to trap an invalid login from continuing autoexec.bat
:REDO
F:
LOGIN
if not exist Z:\PUBLIC\NCOPY.EXE goto REDO
