Hi,

I wouldnt say that "pumped" or "bloated" registry hive
should slow You or Your computer down. Note in WinXP > * anymore. Proper
uninstalling should delete most of the registry keys intended to go off by
the (un)installation process. Startup can be modified through msconfig,
startup.cpl which You can download from iNet (Free) and gpedit.msc which
can display startup scripts, etc., check http://www.silentrunners.org/
also.

For easy Registry repair i would suggest Norton SystemWorks WinDoctor (used
2004 ed. last). I dont like Norton, still, this aplication did never harm
my registry, nor any on which i run it. Registry Mehanic is newer softW.
and i also working perfectly well.

I delete stuff on the road when i halt em. Im using one installation of the
WinXP which is almost 4 years old and is still working perfectly well.
Another most used WinXP is 2 years old, never had problem too.

Hopes this help a lil' bit.

Enjoy.
