| subject: | pulseaudio dwm or xinit |
Does anyone know how to make pulseaudio work with just a simple xinit. I've looked around for awhile but I can't seem to get pulseaudio server to produce sound when I simply run: xinit -maximized -bg black -fg lightblue -cr red I see it runing via ps -aux|grep audio, but I can't make sound come out of speakers. Now if I run it under xfce4 desktop manager it knows what hardware to connect to. I just like dwm or i3 better because they are clean and not resource intensive. So if I can get pulseaudio to run under a simple xinit, ... then I can enjoy computing even more! :) --- MultiMail/Linux v0.49* Origin: Electronic Warfare BBS | telnet:\\bbs.ewbbs.net (1:227/201) SEEN-BY: 103/705 153/7001 154/10 30 40 700 203/0 221/0 1 6 360 227/201 400 SEEN-BY: 229/310 426 240/5832 280/464 5003 292/854 310/31 320/219 340/800 SEEN-BY: 396/45 423/120 633/0 267 280 281 384 410 412 509 640/1321 1384 SEEN-BY: 712/848 770/1 2452/250 3634/12 5020/545 @PATH: 227/201 154/10 280/464 221/1 640/1384 633/280 267 |
