Well no, I'm serious here. You've been using SUS internally and WU for your
colocated boxes. Then one day MS turns off WU support for W2K and you still
have your external boxes. Something happens to one and you restore it from
backup, now how do you make sure it's fully patched?

Second question, what happens to SUS when MS turns off support in WU for
W2K, does SUS do some house cleaning and delete the now obsolete patches,
does it update itself not to support W2K anymore or does it continue to
allow you to patch W2K. You've committed to it but is this even spelled out
anywhere?

Yes I know, it's not an issue for you because you know I keep a full copy
of all the manual patches and a procedure to install them manually but then
what happens when I say screw it this is too difficult and give in to your
suggestion that SUS is easier?

Geo.
