Hi Mike,
At Feb 15 you wrote about "Questions" a.o.:

Hmm... strange... (or rather: not!) I have the same problem. Starting the
msged32.exe (Novell DOS 7.0, NDOS 8.0) and scanning the message areas,
either by hand or from the config file, causes the software to show an
empty netmailarea. When I leave the area ([ESC]) and re-enter the area, the
correct number of messages is shown. The lastread pointer, however, is
lost.
And yes:
1. The area is in a *.MSG format
2. NetMgr is touching the area with renumber, delete and move actions
