The requirement was to not require the MS servers to be available. I
suppose you could make a frontend with checkboxes and burn it and all the
patches to CD but that's not quite the same thing I'm talking about. What I
would like to see is a rollup (just like a service pack) that includes
everything after the last service pack so it's a single download for
whoever wants to patch their old obsolete NT. It would work just like a
service pack except giving them the interface with checkboxes so they could
omit a troublesome patch since hotfixes don't go thru the amount of testing
that a service pack goes thru.

Heck, for that matter before MS stops supporting a version of NT, perhaps
they should just do the final service pack which includes everything. I
don't understand why they don't do that (why isn't there one for
NT4workstation).
