DB|I am doing a presentation on Quicken this weekend. I have Quicken 4 in a
  |directory called Quickenw and Quicken 5 Deluxe in a directory called
  |Quick5. I attempted to open both versions of the program and be able to
  |jump from onbe to the other. I received a message stating that I could
  |not have two copies of the same program open at the same time. Is there
  |a way to get a round this?
I had the same problem. It seems as soon as you load a new version, it
goes into the HD and moves all the files to the new version. Although
Quicken 5 for WIN seems to be better, it still frustrates me.
Except for capital gains, I moved everything out of Quicken to
spreadsheet pages of my own design using Excel. I have quite a few
I use to track investments, checking & savings, credit cards, Tax
forms 1040, Sked B, and Sked D --with linking.
Are you an Excel user? Perhaps we could share some sheets ???
