I tried to use W2K as the example instead of NT4 because I'm not really
concerned about moving things to W2K. However going beyond W2K at this
point is never going to happen. I say that as a realistic statement because
I simply am never going to accept product activation for core business
software. I can't allow a vendor that much power over the systems I'm
responsible for.

You know... that's not a half bad idea, might even work for webservers.
I still need a manual way to get the patches into the SUS server though.
