-> When we were at Fenway Park we would bring portable radios to the
-> games. The broadcasters would switch. He was on Boston radio if not
-> nationally and he was upsetting the paid audiance at the game
-> better known as Red Sox fans.
So, even if he was on Boston radio, and clearly being pro-Cardinals, that is
a slap in the face, maybe even more so than if he were to be carried
nationally during the 1967..
-> The noise from all of the "booos" at him could be heard around the
-> world. I have hated Harry Caray ever since.
And I can understand the boos, and probably would've boo'd myself, at least
out of poor taste. While I agree this was poor judgement on Harry part, and
an obious lack of respect, I wouldn't go as far as to "hate him"... Hate his
broadcasting, maybe....
-> Hopefully that will answer your question.
It does, yes.. Thank you. And it's unfortunate that such a famous, longtime
broadcaster was issue such a slap in the face to an entire region of baseball
fans.....
